Our Mission Statement:

The mission of Encounter Church is to birth and equip believers in the engrafted Word of God who will reach their maximum potential and destiny by going to the nations with a commitment to the spirit of excellence in all things.

Our Core Values:

1. The love of God is perfect, unfailing, and relentless, defining every part of who we are.

2. The presence of God is the key to one's purpose and calling in life.

3. God is always good and always faithful.

4. The believer’s life is to be the demonstration of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

5. Every believer is empowered by the Holy Spirit and assigned to carry out the will of God on earth as it is in heaven.

Statement of Beliefs

It is important to us that you know what we believe as a church. Our Statement of Beliefs are the tenants of faith upon which everything else is based at Encounter Church. If you have any questions regarding our Statement of Beliefs, please contact our pastoral team via the "Contact" page.
The Word of God:
We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit and given as the revelation from God to man; it is the authority and the standard by which we live and the ultimate rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Peter 1:23-25, Hebrew 4:12).
The Trinity:

We believe in God the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit, one true God comprised of three separate and distinct persons who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and function in unity as one (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:19, Deuteronomy 6:4, John 14:16, 1 Corinthians 8:6).

Man's Fallen State:
We believe that man was created in the image of God, and therefore was good and upright, but through voluntary disobedience to God came under the curse of sin and has no hope of redemption apart from salvation through Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:1-19, Romans 5:12-21).

The Full Restoration of Man:

We believe that Jesus Christ became a man, gave His life on the cross, rose from the dead and ascended to heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father; it is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that man is made free from the curse of sin and is fully restored spirit, soul, and body (Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:24-25, Ephesians 2:8).

The Work of the Holy Spirit:

We believe that the Holy Spirit is actively at work in and through the lives of God’s people as evidenced in the continued outpouring of all the spiritual gifts mentioned in Scripture, which are for the purpose of ministry, service and the edification of the body of Christ. We recognize that the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, is an experience separate from salvation [evidenced by speaking in tongues] and is for the purpose of endowing the people of God with power for ministry and service (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:38-39, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, Joel 2:28-29).

Fulfilling Our Mission: A 3-Fold Cord

The Bible declares,
“Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him and a three-fold cord is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12 – NKJV). In preparing to meet the challenge of the mission statement, Legacy has been directed by God to develop our strategy around the principle of a three-fold cord: DELIVER, EDUCATE, and SEND. Legacy understands that the great commission is not to save the lost, but to make disciples; in so doing, the lost will be saved.

Encounter will develop its entire ministry around this three-fold cord. The following outline establishes the basis for all the ministries that will function at Encounter Church...

Our Vision:

In simple terms, the objective is to establish members in the Body of Christ, both present and future, in righteousness by helping them to find and fulfill their destiny in God. The church/ministry is a part and member of the Body of Christ. Our role in the Body is that of training and sending. To this end our vision and instructions from the Lord are to:

1. Build and operate a mission outreach that both trains and sends missionaries into all the world,

2. Build and operate local and international churches, (church planting),

3. Build and operate a restoration center which will include and lead to the building of The City of Refuge, a full scale retreat and restoration center for all ages and most addictions,

4. Establish and operate an international fellowship of ministries,

5. Build and operate Christian schools K – 12,

6. Build and operate a ranch for young people,

7. Build and operate an accredited school of ministry, college, and worship institute with a training and sending mission,

8. Develop ministry that spreads the gospel through technology and media, and

9. Create a financial institution/base for the ministry to support its ministry and other ministries.
